Discouraged What do you do when the sky is gray When you only want to have your way When you know that you should obey All that God may ask of you? You think that God is really kind And maybe He will not mind (Perhaps He is a little blind) And He knows what you are going through. So you fail to bow your stubborn head It does not matter what He said At times like these you wish you were dead For you are not just feeling kind of blue. You look in vain for the sun to shine. You feel just like some clinging vine Thatıs just been ripped from an ancient shrine So that you seem to be broken too. If you could find some Gethsemane Would you be like the other three Or would your eyes so clearly see What Jesus once went through? Can you, with Jesus, weeping say Although I really want my way But if you choose I will obey And do what Jesus once did do. As on this road of life we travel Whether it be paved or gravel We know that we will not unravel If on our road there are just two. Just two, just Christ and you alone And should you stumble on a stone He'll lift you up for you're His own And together you will make it through.
