IT IS WHAT WE SEE NOT WHAT YOU SAY Once I saw a little lad Trying to act just like his dad, And I thought how it must be That kids do just what they see Rather that what they might have heard No matter how the parent uses a word. This may be why God gave us imagination So that, no matter what our orientation, We can picture our Father above And visualize His great love. Then we can act so much better Observing the "spirit" and not just the "letter". This is why we need to learn to worship Him now For by doing so we will resist temptation somehow. We need to act like the one we admire Until this become our heart's desire, That we love and act the way we should Because our Father is always good! On the other hand, it must be so That the "Other father" (as we know) Will help us "Party' and each night to "Revel" Like the other children of the Devil. What we spend our time and energy seeing Will surly affect our every being. So let us remember this "Father's Day" Not just to study the Words He did say, But to spend some time just being quiet (It should be part of our daily diet.) Just looking at Jesus, our Elder Brother and friend Until we are seen acting just like Him. GHVS 6/20/99 gvs@idt.net (201)447-2130
