The Little Lad's Little Lunch John 6:5-21 Jesus took the lunch from the little lad It was all of the food the little boy had. And with a simple prayer of gratitude Jesus fed the hungry multitude. Because of a little fish and bread This is what the people said "Here is the man who can do such a thing. Why don't we force him to be our king?" Now Jesus knew that this could not be. He sent the disciples away, you see. The people thought that He had gone with them So they took to boats to bring him back again. Without Jesus in the boat, what fear and doubt As a sudden storm tossed the ship about! And amid the storm in the dark of night His disciples saw an awesome sight. It was Jesus on the water walking. The disciples suddenly started talking. "It is His ghost," someone did cry. "Fear not", said Jesus, "It is I" And thus we have found, what ever the need, Whether food for hungry folk to feed Or loneliness and sudden storm generated fear, Look for Christ to be walking very near. For He is equal to each and every problem And He knows just how to solve them. If we but make him King over this life of ours, He will come and with His mighty powers He'll stop the storm and calm the sea And make things as they ought to be. And most of all with His presence blest He will give his beloved rest. Pastor Van, July 26,1997
