Palm Sunday
They shouted loud Hallelujahs
	And Hosanna to David's Son
Their laughter and rejoicing was like
	When a victory is won

Yet in all the tumult
	And in the many cheers,
Jesus paused a moment
	And shed some salty tears.	Luke 19:41

He looked upon Jerusalem
	And saw what could have been,
This awful opportunity
	Would not be theirs again.

This is not the first time
	He and His disciples were out of sync.
Remember in the story of Lazarus
	As he began to stink,

How Scripture told the truth again
	The disciples were very sad
And yet it faithfully recorded
	That Jesus was truly glad! 	John 11:15

When I take the time to think on this
	As I walk this world below,
I realize once again that
	I can never really know

How God would react
	For God is unlike you and me.
"O Lord, give us eyes
	To see as you can see

So when the world rejoices
	We can seek the lost,
And when the world is saddened
	We will not be tempest tossed. "
