WANTED: PATRIOTIC PAINTERS

The Famous Trial will soon be over
        And the people will shout, "Hurrah"
Now let me sadly suggest
        That we paint the White House gray

Time was when a man's character 
        Would always come to light
For only the good road horses
        And wore hats that were always white
And that is why I take time to say
        That we should paint the White House gray

They told us that, "Character did not matter"
        And now we know that they were right
For the worse our president's behavior
        Drove his approval poles out of sight
And that is why it seems today
        That we should paint the White House gray

When a man sought for this highest office
        No matter how hard the fight
We felt that he would always try
        To exemplify what is right
But now that goodness is not expected today
        Should we not paint the White House gray?

Letting Clinton remain in office
        Is not such a difficult task
If we could only fly our flag --
        Flying it at half-mast
"But", you ask, "who has died this day?
        What makes you want to paint our White House gray?"

The answer -- Truth, and Justice and all that is right
        So that now only the house is white
And if Clinton's behavior can be OK
        Then the House that is white should be painted gray!
