Plagues I am writing this rhyme to let you know Of the plagues that once plagued old Pharaoh. First, the river was turned to BLOOD until the water did stink And all of the people in Egypt were left with nothing to drink. Second, there was a plague of FROGS, Frogs were everywhere Then came the plague of LICE that swarmed in the summer air. Fourth, the plague was all kinds of FLIES that covered all the land Then the cows and CATTLE were so sick they could hardly stand. The sixth plague was of BOILS that broke out on everyone. Then HAILSTONES fell so thick that it blotted out the sun. Then LOCUSTS ate up all of the food that the hailstones left behind. Then the days of DARKNESS made the Egyptians to feel blind. When Pharaoh still refused, after all that God had done, The last plague was the DEATH OF EACH FIRST BORN SON. No sooner had Pharaoh let the people go then he changed his mind. He took his army and set out to Israel and Moses find. He trapped them between two shear cliffs with the sea dead ahead I am sure that Israel believed that they were as good as dead Yet today we sing of Moses (and we have down through the ages) For he was not only brave but also very COURAGEOUS. Now we, too, can trust in God when everything seems to go wrong. We can take time to pray and to sing a "victory song". He will make a way before us like He did for Moses at the sea If we will only trust Him and Courageous be. Exodus 7:14-12:33 DR. Van Sandt July 1997
