THE AMERICAN EAGLE


The eagle they say is a bird of prey
        And should not be Americas symbol.
Now the bird they suggest is quite hard to digest
        And their brains must fit in a thimble!

For the Right Wing, they say, should be taken away
        Since it is such a burden to bear.
And those on the Right wing all through the night sing
        It is the left wing that is full of hot air.

Now when those two go at it then I really have had it
        For in all of the rhetoric I have heard.
The wingless creature they describe convinces me that they all imbibe
        It would look less like an Eagle and more like the Doo doo bird!
