"THANKS!" Thanks to every one of you who helped me move I guess that this just goes to prove How much one needs to have some friends. It is hard to finally ones office close (As everyone of us sometimes knows) When the work your doing finally ends. Yet you came in truck or car And you traveled kind of far To help me on this day. Now it is difficult to show it Yet I want you all to know it Although it is not so easy to say. You are all so very good and kind, And you were all of one mind To help this weak and weary man. And no one did at all complain (I thank God that it did not rain) When you came to help old Pastor Van So, now before I pillow my sleepy head After all that is done or said May I write this rhyme to you For it is Christian folk, you know, Who can ease this world of woe. And it is friends like you that see us through Thanks for helping as you did so well There are no words that can truly tell All of the help that you have really been The feelings that one has as the office is cleaned Is different that one has ever dreamed You see, moving out is nothing at all like moving in.
