Thanksgiving 1996 If I should take a little time To put my thoughts into a rhyme Concerning my friends, both old and new. This is thethought I would send to you. Of the many things that I may feel, The one that truly is most real Is more a kind of an attitude That fills ones heart with gratitude. Now, as you carve the Thanksgiving turkey (Although the weather may be quite murky) As you thank God for His every gift May this rhyme give your heart a lift For God has given us so many things (Maybe not gold or diamond rings) But now and until the journey ends I will thank my God for all my friends. So, friend, may you in the coming years Find a solace for all of your fears In the fact that God is still in control down here, In this world that is so often void of Cheer For while the day is short and the night so long, (In the darkness you may hear the angel's song) And know that soon it will be all right With longer days and a much shorter night. God bless and keep you one and all Through winter, summer, spring and fall. Start today to give some heartfelt praise And it will brighten all your remaining days. GHVS 11/15/96
