The little things in life

Putting words together
        Is really quite an art,
It can either GIVE 
        Or it can TAKE one's heart.

Now a little preposition
        Such a difference makes
Depending on the position
        That the preposition takes.

Take the preposition, OUT
        And the little word, LOOK
It then become a warning
        Or the attitude you took.

Now take two little words
        Like OVER and OUT
One can only go with DOWN
        The other with UP no doubt.

So if a little preposition
        The meaning of a word can change 
Then little thoughts that we have
        Can the events of life rearrange.

For HAPPINESS is not so much
        In what is happening to you today
But in what you had EXPECTED
        And what to yourself you say.

For the letters "im" and "or"
        At the ending of what you call yourself
Will change the letters "Vict" from winner
        To person who can't help himself.
