There is Hope He was so young a man And so very strong But he lacked one thing He did not have a song The chains he broke asunder And the ropes he tore apart He envied the dead with whom he lived He had a troubled heart He tried so hard to be consistent He would not be like them He wore no clothes to hide his shame He was proud of what he had been But what he needed he did not know For with his strength he lacked control And the storm that he had witnessed Had touched his immortal soul Could the man in the boat help him? Could He help him to be "one"? When the man asked the question He did not know the man was God's Son. "What is your name?", He asked (What a troubling question it was to him) He confessed the truth that he now knew He was legion just like "them" But Jesus set him free that day He found peace within his soul He could sit, wear cloths but most of all He now had self-control Pastor Van 5/4/97
