This is The Day -- Psalm 118:24
     			*
"This is the Day" the Scripture says,
	And not just any day.
It is a very special Day for we know
 	That God will have His way.

It is a day that The Lord has made
	It does not just happen, you know.
It is planned by God who reigns above
	For His people here below.

It does not just happen by some chance
	Or by a quirk of Fate.
It is the day that God has made
	(Lord, help us to relate).

For the Psalmist said that we will be
	Glad and rejoice in it.
For this is the Day the Lord has made
	And it will surely fit.

Now this day may bring us sunshine
	Or it may have its share of rain.
We may experience pleasure
	Or we may know awful pain.

It is not what the day may bring
	That makes us glad and rejoice.
For our reaction  to the day God made
	Depends upon our choice.

We may not know just why God has
	This day from eternity planned.
But we can accept it gladly when we recall
	It came from His Nail Scarred Hand.
