WHY WORSHIP PART TWO

Last Sunday I spoke about worship,
    But before the sermon was through,
The clock said the time was up
    So there was nothing I could do.

It seemed that I spoke against churches
    When I said that to worship in God's way
Did not demand an alter or temple
    If we would worship God today.

I said that worship was like "love making"
    And needed a heart that was true.
But what if one felt not like worshiping
    What was one to do?

I read in Psalm 103 how one tried
    To worship but could not do it at first,
But when he thought of forgiveness and healing
    His heart was almost about to burst!

So when you need some help
    In worshiping God above
When you need some help
    To fill your hear with love

    Ephesians 6: 18-20
Turn not to drugs or alcohol
    But begin some conversation
Speaking to yourself will help,
    At least that is my observation.

Turn to the psalms, for they are varied,
    And speak of every feeling known to man.
Then pick up an old church hymnal
    Sing some familiar songs, if you can.

Sing until you are able to praise Him
    With a spiritual song or two
Giving thanks until you worship
    Then worship the whole day through.
