People often ask me, "What is God trying to teach me?" 
My answer,"I don't know and I don't think anyone else knows 
BUT you can take any lesson you want from it".

When bad things  happen to good people
Hebrews 12:6

It used to be, or it seemed to me
        That I could not quite understand
When people do good or so I understood
        Then good things should come from Godıs hand.

So when evil would assail you and no help would avail you
        I wondered what had gone wrong
For if you did right even in the dark night
        I thought you would have a song.

Now just the other day I heard the preacher say
        That this is the way God treats His child
He often beats them and it seems that He mistreats them
        And the thought of it just drove me wild!

So now instead of blessing I start in out obsessing
        And look for pain instead of perfect bliss
For the preacher had said that if your rear is not red
        Then maybe you are no child of His

I am sure that is not what Christ intended, who the fallen had befriended
        When the Book of Hebrews taught on pain
But lest your heart be hardened when you find no rose garden
        Let us look at the passage once again.

Now God loves us everyone as He did His blessed Son
        Yet He spared Him not from any misery.
They scourged Him, they beat Him, how badly they did  mistreat Him
        And then they hung Him on that awful tree.

So when we face life's disaster let us remember our dear Master
        And never ever turn to run away.
Place all that happens in Gods hands until you understand His plans
        For that is how we learn just to obey.

So ask God for His blessing and stop your obsessing
        And whatever your hands finds just do it
For this is truth, you will find if life is good or unkind
        In all that happens God's love will take you through it.
