Well it was the day before christmas And I was a thinking I had better write this note now Before people start drinking We are so proud of your little family Although sometimes it is not easy to see We hope you are well and ready for snow Although To get some to you, some distance must go Now I must put an end to this awful rhyme We want to call you but don't know what time This is what I thought although it is hard to believe That it might be best to call Christmas Eve But then again when I think of what to say Maybe it would be best to call Christmas Day So here is the problem. So that we make no mistake Should we let you sleep or make you awake? So give us the moment or the tick on the clock If I say we will call then, you know it's a crock Yet being your dad and "mom" it is true We always want to be in touch with you Dr. Van Dec. 1997
